Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it. Proverbs 22:6

Our little Celeste is attending a Wednesday night class at our church called Kings Kids. For the class she was given a book of Bible verses she is to memorize thoughout the year. So far she has memorized three verses; Love one another, The Lord God formed man, and All things were made by Him. We work on the verses at home and she recited them to her teacher when she has them memorized. We've also been talking to Celeste about what makes God happy and sad. She knows that God is sad when she doesn't listen to her parents and God is happy when she is nice to others and when she does her chores. She made me laugh the other day when I interupted her play to ask her to help unload the dishwasher. She informed me that "it makes God happy when she plays with her toys" :).

It's very important to Shawn and I that Celeste and Trevor grow up in a Christian home and that we lay the foundation of a strong faith in God for all our children. The Lord has been so good to our family, if we didn't have Him in our lives, I don't know where we would be. The very least we can do in return is train up our children in the ways of the Lord, teach them about Christ and how he died for all sinners and the ONLY way to Heaven is through him.

Celeste sure is a bright little girl! I think it is great that at two years old she already has chores. You are such a great mom. I think you should keep posting about how you train your children so that others (like me) can learn from you.
