Bacon in the Oven

Did you know you could cook bacon in the oven?? Well if you did, and you didn't bother to tell me I don't think we can be friends anymore. It is so easy to do and the bacon turns out perfectly crispy. Mmmmmm

This is what you do:
Line a baking sheet with foil. Place your bacon on the foil being careful not to overlap the pieces. Place your baking sheet in your cold oven and THEN turn the oven on to 400. Bake for approximately 20 minutes. You do not need to turn the bacon. Remove immediately from baking sheet when done.

I've heard that before but I don't cook/eat bacon! Glad you found that it works. :-)

I tried this today! It went over very well at our house :-) Brodey even liked it, and that's saying something.

Uh-oh. Guess we can't be friends anymore. I cook mine on my stone. No foil needed.

No foil? Doesn't that make a big greasy mess of your pan? What other cooking secrets are you keeping from me? That is definitely not cool of you.

Hmmmm....guess our friendship is over too. My mom told me this trick about 4 months ago and I've been doing it ever since. Sorry!:(

This makes think of a country song I once heard about finding out who your friends were, except my friends weren't helping me when I was stranded on the side of the road, they were keeping tasty bacon secrets from me!!!
