Making Apple Sauce

My sister Lindsey came over one day a couple weeks ago and I showed her how to make apple sauce. It was a good day in spite of a few burns from the volcanic sauce cooking in the pot. One of us complained more than the other about the burns...and her name starts with an L. :) I had big plans to can lots of applesauce this year, but my body told me otherwise. This back can't take all that standing and lifting anymore...but I WILL be an applesauce canning machine next year!


You can tell from the picture she is already a skillful apple masher.
